Mid-Back Pain

The mid-back is less affected than the neck and low back. Muscle spasms and joint problems do occur, but on a lesser scale. The recommendations for mid-back problems are similar to that for neck and low back problems:

  • Reduce activity during the acute phase.
  • Ice areas of pain 20 minutes at a time, multiple times per day.
  • Use The Stick over entire muscle multiple times per day.
  • Determine cause of pain
  • Treat symptoms initially
  • After pain is gone, correct and rehabilitate biomechanical defects
  • Once improved, perform necessary maintenance exercises and recommendations to maintain improvements.
