I have been living with severe and complicated neck and back issues since the late 1990s. Over the years, I’ve had 6 major orthopedic surgeries which include 3 fusions and 3 joint replacements I’ve been under the care of a pain management doctor who has been exceptional in treating my symptoms. His care has been vital, helping me manage daily pain and maintain a baseline quality of life. But as my journey progressed, I realized I needed something deeper—a way to address the root causes of my chronic pain. That’s when I found Dr. Maggs. He was recommended to me by another patient who had experienced great success under his care, and I decided it was worth exploring. His holistic approach has been a revelation. He treats me as a whole person—looking beyond the symptoms and addressing the interconnected issues affecting my neck, back, and overall well-being. After 10 weeks of care, I’ve seen noticeable improvement: increased energy, less tingling and numbness, improved strength and motor control in my arms and legs, and a renewed sense of hope. With the care snd treatment I receive it will improve even more. It’s not an instant fix; it’s a gradual process that requires commitment and patience. But throughout my journey, I have felt understood, respected, and supported every step of the way. The environment in Dr. Maggs’ office is truly exceptional. From the moment I walk in, it feels like a family space. Trudy, the receptionist, is the perfect combination of professional and warm. She is always accommodating with scheduling and explains billing clearly. The entire staff—from the chiropractic assistants to the rest of the team—work together so seamlessly. Every visit feels like stepping into a place where everyone genuinely cares and is invested in my well-being. I feel like I get the very best care possible, and I can’t recommend Dr. Maggs and his team enough. D. Korzyk

I express my gratitude and appreciation for the medical providers. The doctors and clinical staff are truly exceptional; kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. They consistently go above and beyond to make patients feel heard, cared for, and supported. It genuinely feels like an honor to receive treatment from such dedicated professionals, and their level of care has made a very meaningful difference in my experience. The only area I believe could use improvement is the front desk experience. While I understand reception staff often work under pressure and handle many responsibilities at once, there have been multiple occasions where the interactions at the front desk felt unpleasant or dismissive. A warmer and more patient approach in communication would greatly improve the overall atmosphere of the clinic and help patients feel welcomed from the moment they arrive. I share this feedback with respect and with the hope of contributing to an even better patient experience, because the quality of care provided by the medical team is truly outstanding. Improving the front desk interactions would make the clinic experience feel completely aligned with the compassion and professionalism shown by the providers.

Dr. Maggs is incredible. As a first time patient, he listened to my symptoms and told me it was not something he did. Then he told me what I should do to get the help I need. He sent me down the right path! And what doctor calls you two days later to check on how you’re doing? He did! Plus I could tell he was genuinely concerned. I highly recommend him! If I could give him 10 stars, I would!

Ferris Family

My son Cayden Ferris has been playing high level travel baseball for the last 5 years.  At the age of 13 he was one of a handful of kids in our Junior High asked to try out for the High School team in our area.  It was a great honor to be asked, however in order to do so, he had to pass a rigorous Advanced Placement Physical Fitness Test.  While training for this test on top of his usual obsessive baseball training, he suffered a back injury while swinging his bat.  The injury put him in great pain and made it tough for him to walk.

After meeting with an Orthopedic Surgeon and getting an MRI, Cayden was diagnosed with a stress reaction/possible fracture of the Pars bone of the L5 vertebrae.  I later found out this was called a pending spondylolisthesis.  Our Doctor told us that he would need four weeks off all athletic activities and he would be fine.  After that time there was no improvement.  This was the case for four months and two additional doctors.

During this time, these doctors did not recommend anything else.  My son was at wits end and it was turning into a full blown mental health issue on top of the physical problem.  Feeling horrible and helpless that I could not help my son during this dark time in his life, I did what everyone does these days, I took to the internet.  After MANY failed attempts and finding someone that would help us, I came across a YouTube Video about a High School Baseball Player in the Capital Region named Kyle Rubilotta, who suffered from the same injury as my son. Kyle was a patient of Dr. Tim Maggs.

The video immediately resonated with me and I contacted Dr. Maggs’ Office as soon as I could.  After hearing the pain in my voice they took the time to speak with me for nearly a half hour and agreed to see my son as soon as we could get up to Schenectady.  Once there, the Dr. Maggs really took the time to explain the entire injury and treatment process in a way that myself and my son could understand.  He immediately set Cayden at ease and was the first doctor in this whole process that made him believe that he would get better.  Cayden’s entire demeanor changed.

At this point, Cayden is out of pain, no longer wearing his back brace and beginning to introduce activity and exercise back to his schedule. Our goal is to get him back on the ball field, being a kid again, by Spring, 2022.  Doctor Maggs and his staff have been with us the entire way taking my calls and answering emails as quickly as possible.  We feel like they are fully invested in this with us and we owe them a debt of gratitude.  Thank you Dr Maggs and staff.
