Study #1: When Correcting the Collapse of Arches of the Feet with Custom Orthotics, are Other Areas of the Body Effected? A Revolutionary Approach towards Reduced Injuries and Better Outcomes

Research Study

Published September 25, 2020, Updated August 2025

Compared hip height difference via x-ray both barefoot and with orthotics in shoes on 351  patients over a 3 year period. We concluded there are 5 uniquely different biomechanical  patterns, all of them imbalanced. Every human is one of the 5 and don’t know this or what to do about it.

Study #2: Is Prescribing Custom Orthotics Enough to Prevent and Treat Musculoskeletal Injuries and Degeneration? What if we Integrated Biomechanical X-ray Measurements with the Laser Foot Scan Procedure? Could this Reduce Injuries Even More?

Research Study

Published March 2, 2021, Updated August 2025

Looking at the same 351 patients, statistics on the degree of millimeter difference in  femoral head height with orthotics and without orthotics, and the percentage of people  who needed heel lifts due to the fact their femoral head height was more than 3 mm.

Study #4: Biomechanics Before and After Hip Replacement

4th Research Study

Published November 4, 2022, Updated August 2025

This study highlights the importance of femoral head height measurements both prior to  and after joint replacement therapy. No where in our medical community are femoral head  height differences measured despite the fact this measurement is the most important  biomechanical measurement in the body.

Study #5: Each Person’s Collapse of the Arches of the Foot May Be Unique but its Correction is Standard. A Large Study Explains Why

Published April 27, 2023, Updated August 2025

This study was an expanded study of Study 3. This time we looked at 1,001 patients scans over a 3 year period.

Study #6: From Disaster to Triumph: How a Professional Basketball Team Becomes Injury - Free Implementing a Revolutionary Proactive Approach to Injuries

Dr. Maggs' Published Study

Published August 10, 2023, Updated August 2025

This study documented the biomechanical data, collected through digital laser foot scans  and digital standing x-rays of the 2023 Albany Patroons, a minor league professional  basketball team.

The study highlights the biomechanical recommendations that were  made, in addition to the treatments that were provided to the team in an effort to reduce injuries. After 4 months, 11 players played 32 games, and one player missed 2 games due  to injury.

Study #7: Load Management in Sports Must Include Biomechanical Analytics®

Dr. Maggs' Published Study

Published December 14, 2023, Updated August 2025

This study highlights the importance of biomechanical measurements on all athletes prior  to a season beginning, and making the necessary available corrections that will balance  weight distribution and reduce risk of injuries. This study reviews all necessary tests.

Study #8: Reducing Lower Extremity Injuries in Female Athletes by Identifying and Correcting Biomechanical Faults

Dr. Maggs' Published Study

Published May 21, 2024, Updated August 2025

This study collects biomechanical data on 186 women highlighting the uniqueness and  specifics which would then allow an examiner to make custom corrections prior to a  season beginning in an effort to reduce injuries.
